So, last week I was feeling so run down and fed up and I thought to myself, you know what Emma, you need to treat yourself to something that is going to make you feel better.
So after some deliberation I decided to book myself in for a massage as I had never had one before and had heard that they were good for the body and mind too.
I booked my appointment with Ultraviolet Beauty Therapist Pippa who has vast experience in all different types of massage and I decided to go for the back massage as that is the part of my body that needed the attention the most which is similar for all hairdressers I think.
Pippa was so professional, she took me up to the pretty pink beauty room for a pre treatment consultation where she identified which parts of the body I wanted her to work on and what kind of pressure I wanted her to apply.
My massage started with a lovely blend of grapeseed massage oil which is great for the skin. With soft music playing in the background and dimmed lights I softly drifted off into a world of my own as Pippa worked her magic on my neck, upper back and shoulders.
I could really feel the tension being loosened up as she worked away and as my body began to relax I realised what all the fuss is about when people say that they go for regular massages. Yes it is a treat but something that makes you feel this good should happen on a regular basis as far as I am concerned.
